SAP Labs Interview questions for Developer Associate Position
Round 1:
I applied on LinkedIn for Developer Associate Position with 3 years of experience.
After 2 days I got the Hackerrank Assessment test link.
Assessment test was easy and thus cracked this round.
Round 2:
Interviewer asked me about my projects I mentioned in the resume. One of my project was on App Push Notification. Interviewer asked me lot of questions on Push Notification implementation.
He asked some of java questions like:
- What is atomic in java?
- What is Future?
- Which is better in creating Thread, Thread class or Runnable Interface?
- How to iterate any list using Java8 feature.
- Why only there is one abstract method in functional Interface?
- Given In-order traversal of BST as array. Make balanced BST.
Round 3:
- Given an unsorted array of n integers which can contain integers from 1 to n. Some of the integers have multiple occurrence in the array. Find the frequency of all the elements in the array without using extra space.
- Discussed project mentioned in resume.
- Method overloading.
- Method overriding.
- Will there be method overriding if base class don’t throw exception but child class throws?
- Find cycle in Linked list.
Round 4:
This was the managerial round. Interviewer asked me some technical and behavioral questions in this round.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What is your strength and weakness.
- What would you be doing after 5 years.
- Any challenges you faced recently. Explain that.
- What is the difference between Microservices and Monolithic architecture.
- Why do you want to join SAP.
- Why do you want to leave your current company.
- What is your expected CTC.
Round 5:
This was HR round. Main discussion part was CTC and some behavioral questions.
HR asked me expected CTC. I told her that I am expecting 30% hike from my current compensation. But HR told me that they can’t offer me more than X lakh per annum. My current salary was 3.5 lakh more than the CTC, SAP was offering me. This wasn’t expected from SAP Labs. I invested my lot of time in SAP interviews and after cracking all technical interviews they offer me less than my current CTC.
After some discussions HR told me she will discuss with her team. After 2 days, I got e-mail that they have offered this position to some other candidate.
This was my worst experience. Always tell them your current CTC and expected CTC before attending SAP interviews.
